Corrections & Transparency
How PAR handles corrections to recognition records, credentials, public content and annual publications.
Why corrections matter
A public recognition record should be as accurate as reasonably possible. When a material error is identified, PAR may correct the affected information while preserving appropriate administrative traceability.
Types of corrections
- Typographical: spelling, formatting or similar administrative corrections.
- Identity: corrections to a holder or organizational name where supported by documentation.
- Recognition details: corrections to title, category, date, location or description.
- Identity numbers: controlled correction of Submission, PAR, Registry or Certificate identifiers.
- Publication: corrections to an annual book or other editorial presentation.
Material changes
A change that affects the substance of a recognition may require additional review rather than a simple administrative edit. PAR may request supporting documentation or reconsider the recognition status.
Auditability
Administrative corrections to controlled identifiers and recognition data are recorded in the audit trail. The objective is to maintain both an accurate public record and a traceable administrative history.
