Evidence Standards
Understand what evidence may be required and how PAR handles evidence during review.
Evidence principle
Applicants are responsible for providing sufficient evidence to demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements. Submission of evidence does not guarantee recognition.
Evidence levels
| Level | Meaning | Typical material |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Basic documentation | Photographs, documents and applicant declaration. |
| Level 2 | Witnessed evidence | Level 1 plus independent witness statements. |
| Level 3 | Recorded evidence | Level 2 plus continuous video or equivalent documentation. |
| Level 4 | Independent verification | Level 3 plus independent measurement, expert verification or official documentation where applicable. |
Video evidence
- Clearly show the relevant activity.
- Cover the required period continuously where continuity is part of the rule.
- Show important counting, timing or measurement procedures.
- Avoid unexplained gaps.
- Provide original or reasonably verifiable files when requested.
Photographic evidence
Photographs should clearly demonstrate participants, activity, measurements, equipment, final result and relevant documents where applicable.
Witness evidence
Witness statements should identify the witness, date, location, nature of observation, relevant result and signature or appropriate confirmation.
Evidence integrity
Evidence must be authentic, complete and reasonably verifiable. Fabricated, materially manipulated, misleading or materially incomplete evidence may result in rejection, suspension, revocation or removal from the registry.
Privacy
Submitted evidence is private by default. Public verification discloses only information needed to substantiate the registry entry.
