Verification Guide
A practical guide to checking a PAR recognition or credential through the official verification service.
What verification does
The official PAR verification service checks whether an identifier corresponds to a recognition or credential maintained in the PAR system and displays the relevant public information available for verification.
What you can verify
- PAR ID
- Registry ID
- Certificate ID
Read the result carefully
A verification result should be considered together with the recognition type, holder, title, date and status shown by the official service. A valid identifier does not by itself establish claims that are outside the recorded recognition.
Suspended or withdrawn recognition
A recognition can have a status other than Active. If a recognition is suspended or withdrawn, the verification result should not be represented as evidence of current active recognition.
Suspected discrepancies
If a certificate or published claim appears inconsistent with the official verification result, use the Contact service and provide the relevant identifier and a concise description of the discrepancy.
